New Jellyfish Discovery 2022. It seems to move and look like no other. Researchers named the newfound species tripedalia maipoensis, after mai po nature reserve in hong kong, where they discovered the transparent critter.

They named it atolla reynoldsi, in honor of of the monterey bay aquarium’s first volunteer. The encounters with the new jellyfish have triggered warnings about correct first aid for marine.
